We here at Maverick PR pride ourselves on being pretty serious gamers. Yes, despite the creep of old age, the interference of pesky things like work, families and other responsibilities, we generally still carve out the time to play many of the new games — from the biggest blockbusters to the smallest indie titles. Shooters, RPGs, RTS, MMOs… we try to get them all in. Heaven forbid we’re at a press event and can’t keep up with the conversation about top games of the year. Heaven. Forbid. Read more
We’re not going to lie — some of our favorite games are purely multiplayer shooters.
Going back all the way to Quake 3 Arena (which Matt helped ship) through onto Unreal Tournament 2003 and 2004 (which Matt shipped) and even more modern day games like Left 4 Dead (which Matt wished he shipped). Read more
It’s PAX East this week, which means more than 70,000 (70,000!?!?) people are rolling into Bean Town to check out the latest games, meet up with friends and grab a few drinks at the legendary bars and pubs spread throughout our historic city.
There’s a lot going on in Boston, no matter what those hard news reporters at The Onion say… probably more than you think. And with a crap-ton of people coming in from the OTHER coast this week, I thought that as a native and current Masshole, I’d provide some helpful tips so you can have a good time without getting, you know, punched in the throat by Fitzy. Bringing SUDA51’s awesome sci-fi shooter LIBERATION MAIDEN to the iOS devices.
Now the reviews are coming in, and the media seem to agree – LIBERATION MAIDEN on iOS is a really fun game! Check out some of the reviews below. Read more

It isn’t always just work-work-work around here. Although, honestly, that’s the way it is most of the time. Every once in a while, the kindly PR GODS are merciful enough to allow us a few moments away from email. They are lenient enough to liberate the staff for a few hours from writing plans and pitching editors and booking events. And when that happens – we go and do crazy things like join in on 3-on-3 Basketball Tournaments. Let’s face it – you really haven’t lived until you’ve seen a group of 40-55 year old men compete in a game designed for 25 year olds.
This, kids, is how you come off a screen and bury
a three, as demonstrated by MavPR’s PR_Flak
